Burgum Denounces Potential Trump Conviction as “Travesty of Justice”

North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum (R) has spoken out against the possibility of former President Trump being convicted in the New York hush money trial, calling it a “travesty of justice”.

Burgum believes that the charges against Trump, which include 34 counts of falsifying business records, are politically motivated and stem from a “business filing error” rather than any illegal activity. He argues that paying people for nondisclosure agreements is a common practice and not illegal.

Burgum also suggested that the timing of the trial is intended to influence the outcome of the upcoming election. He believes that the case will not have a huge impact on the American people and may even help Trump by reinforcing the perception that the Biden administration is using the legal system to attack political opponents.

It’s worth noting that there is no evidence to suggest that President Biden was involved in the hush money case brought by the New York District Attorney’s office.

Despite this, Burgum and other Trump supporters continue to claim that the case is politically motivated. The trial has been ongoing for weeks, with Trump denying all wrongdoing and labeling the case as a “witch hunt”.
