A new chapter is revealing for Rachel Zoe as she parts ways with Rodger Berman. In an Instagram statement shared on September 9, the fashion designer disclosed their separation. She stated, “After 33 years together and 26 years of marriage, Rodger and I have mutually decided to end our marriage.

We are incredibly proud of the loving family we’ve built and the countless memories we’ve made. Our children remain our top priority.” Rachel affirmed that despite the split, she and Rodger are dedicated to co-parenting their sons, Skyler, 13, and Kaius, 10, and continuing their business ventures together.

The couple’s announcement concluded with a request for privacy as they adjust to this new phase of their lives, signed off with appreciation and affection. Their relationship began in 1991 at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and they married seven years later.

Their lives and professional partnership were prominently featured on Rachel’s Bravo series, The Rachel Zoe Project, which followed her career as a celebrity stylist along with Brad Goreski and Jeremiah Brent. After the show concluded its five-season run in 2013, Rachel focused on expanding her fashion business, including her clothing line and The Zoe Report, with Rodger’s support as co-CEO of Rachel Zoe Inc.

In a 2021 interview with People, Rachel explained their approach to marriage: “The concept is to balance dependence and independence; there is a shared life and a personal life. This balance helps reduce pressure, as depending entirely on the other person for happiness and purpose is unsustainable.”

Rodger added his perspective, noting, “The best relationships involve genuinely rooting for each other and helping each other achieve goals. Ultimately, your happiness is linked to their happiness, right?”
